Founded in 1954 as an Oilfield Supply company we have gradually evolved and are now specializing in the sales and service of Chemical Metering pumps, Lubrication Equipment & Polyethylene Water & Chemical storage tanks. We design and fabricate custom Lubrication and Chemical Feed Systems. Fred C. Gilbert Co. is a family owned and operated business. We were incorporated in 1974. Things have changed drastically since Fred started so many years ago. Fred worked for Tretolite (an oilfield chemical company) in west Texas in the 1930's. He came to California in the late 30's and stayed with Tretolite until sometime after the second world war. Then he started a "dime store" selling various goodies to the general public. After he had enough of that he went back to what he new best - the oilfields & chemical pumps - and Fred C. Gilbert Co. was born.
